Welcome to the personal website for the research group of Dr David J. Jones. We are a synthetic organic chemistry research group based at University College Cork (UCC) — established in September 2024. Our research effort is primarily focused on the synthesis and application of organophosphorus compounds.

Organophosphorus drugs are among the most important and economically valuable molecules in modern medicine (See Njardarson Top 200). Our research will hopefully lay the groundwork for new and exciting developments in this area by expanding the toolkit of possible chemical reactions and driving the exploration of new chemical space.
