Ula is from Leszno, Poland. She moved to Cork in 2021 to undertake her BSc Chemistry of Pharmaceutical Compounds at UCC. During her 3rd year of studies, she completed a 5-month industry placement in the R&D Department of Pharmacare Premium on the island of Malta. In 2025, she started her PhD funded through the GOI Scholarship and co-supervised by Prof Gerard McGlacken and Dr David Jones. Outside of work, Ula's hobbies include dancing, cooking, jewellery making and skiing.
